Think about it like this: instead of connecting to the US server, you're connecting to the EU proxy aka EU server. You have low ping because it's close to you, but that proxy is receiving information from the main server. An EU proxy is essentially a middle man who fakes the information

A difference or not, I'd still feel like my connection would be better. Placebo is very powerful.
